Person centered counseling

Founder/Developers; Carl Rogers (1902-1987) is the person most identified with person-centered counseling. Indeed, it was Rogers who first formulated the theory in the form of nondirective psychotherapy in his 1942 book, counseling and psychotherapy. The theory later evolved into client centered and person centered counseling with multiple applications to groups, families and communities as well as individuals.
