Lewin maintained that his topological and dynamic theories have much in common with psychoanalysis. Ho noted, for example that-
1. both are concerned with emotional problems and development of personality
2. both peace major emphasis on the psychological meaning that people situation and things have for the person
3. both are involved with such concepts as need, will, and personality
4. Both are unwilling to remain at the superficial level of description; the attempt to discover deeper meaning by uncovering casual interrelationships.
